Effect of Different Nutrient Management Systems on Yield and Yield Components of Rice Crop (<em>Oryza sativa</em> L.) in the Dry Zone of Sri Lanka

Purpose: Integrated and organic nutrient management has recently become the focus in Sri Lanka for seeking better perspectives on food quality environmentally friendly production. This study was conducted to understand magnitude of yield components under selective systems major cropping seasons within transitional period a conventional rice-based system. Research Method: Rice were measured with different systems; conventional, integrated, from Yala 2019 Maha 2020/21. An ANOVA carried out using Repeated Measures MIXED model determine effect four continuous seasons. Findings: Total tillers per hill productive significantly varied descending order. The number filled spikelets panicle (43) increased, hollow (8) thousand-grain weight (21.5g) decreased an system season only. Although biological expected grain yields higher integrated systems, these did not change last two Limitations: Yield parameters fluctuated due weather changes seasons; thus specific impacts managements have been masked certain degree. Originality/ Value: attempt convert crop production can be effectively achieved use nutrients rotations.
